Montana land board gives preliminary OK to wind-farm project
The Coyote Wind Project, a 44-turbine wind farm proposed west of Big Timber that would site eight turbines on state land, will face a second vote on lease terms before the Montana State Land Board later this month, but the project won't be built until the developer has a contract for the electricity that will be produced.
