Alberta researchers find 'tiny terror' dinosaur

BLM auctions curly-haired wild horses this week in Nevada

Montana will work to extinguish 9 coal-seam fires
There are nine coal-seam fires burning in four Montana counties, including one that has been smoldering since 1984, which ignited a wildfire in Musselshell County last year, and state officials said they'll begin an effort to extinguish all nine late this spring or early this summer. Utah Legislature passed several property-rights bills
The Utah Legislature passed a number of bills involving property rights this session, including one that would allow gun owners to bring weapons onto private parking lots and another that broadens the rights of mining companies to prospect on their own land and under the surface of land owned by others, although a measure that would have limited the scope of a Utah Supreme Court decision on public access to waterways failed. Idaho governor, lawmakers reach accord on fuel-tax increase
Idaho Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter and House leaders struck a compromise on road funding that would increase fuel taxes by 3 cents a gallon this year and 2 cents a gallon in each of the following two years and increase vehicle registration fees in stages over the next three years as well; and House Speaker Lawerence Denney gave the House Transportation Committee to consider Otter's new bills and speculated the panel may send them directly to the House for consideration. The head of the Small Business Administration office in Nevada said President Obama's plan unveiled on Monday to help small businesses is exactly the kind of help needed, but owners of small businesses in the Silver State said the plan needs clarification and seemed to focus more on start-ups and expansions, rather than helping ongoing concerns maintain. Wal-Mart to open 2 new Utah stores this week, adding 600 jobs
